Quality assurance: Review and update `root` Readme file for final delivery #124

The root folder Readme file should be updated to contain the most recent project information to present for the final thesis delivery. Eimen is in charge of the Readme, but the other team members will review the work as well. The update should contain basic information about the project, available functionality, list what features are supported, and showcase the application.

I think I am happy with the Readme the way it is now. I'm closing #124, we can finalise the details and discuss the Readme further in #123 if we need to.

This last commit mention was supposed to reference #121, not #124.
