Can we install VSCode in the next jasmin-sci? #27

We are still not at a stage to support IDEs within jaspy envs.

Moving ticket to extra-sci-packages.

No conda package available, but there is an RPM. Tested installation on sci2-test (since uninstalled). Installs fine, approx 120MB including one small additional dependency, but does involve adding an extra yum repo. Steps are at https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/setup/linux#_rhel-fedora-and-centos-based-distributions

Options are either:

In either case, would then just be a question of adding code to meta RPM.

Asked SCD (in JASMIN ops channel) which of these options would be preferable.

I agree, let's close this. Users can install vscode on their local systems and we should recommend that.
