On Monday 5/20 we had a meeting with metadata folks and discussed what kinds of granule filtering needs we have.
[x] Within the context of granules in a single collection, due to the large number of granules some collections have, the ability to filter with a text search would be very beneficial for those who know the data and are looking for something specific
[ ] We need to be able to find granules by searching directly against all granules, outside the context of a single collection. For example, searching "prince of wales island" does not find the hydrographic survey, because that specific text is on the granule and not the collection. Currently under discussion is doing something like tabs on the main search results page which can change the search from collections to granules, and automatically switching over to granules if there are 0 matches under collections. As part of this, granule results would need to include a link indicating the collection they belong to.
