you stumble across some dwarves that glow blue, barricaded in front of a hole in a cliff face

they're under assault by their own mining equipment, drill carts come hurtling at you that you have to dodge

you destroy the haywire equipment, and the dwarves ask you to help reclaim their mine

but after you fight your way the center of the mine, its revealed that the dwarves' kids were the ones remotely controlling the mining equipment; their parents had been possessed by a blue-glowing crystal they found in the mines

now you have to fight the parent dwarves you let back to the crystals ... and then the massive blue crystal creature that had possessed them!
