This figure shows the change in soil moisture measured at 30 random sites at Tidmarsh East from before restoration (2014) to after (2017) during similar conditions. These are supported by statistics data as well.

But how reliable are these probe measurements anyway?
At Tidmarsh East, at the 30 sites, we also have gravimetric soil data, the "ground truth". These are compared here:
And, at Tidmarsh West, we have 71 sites with probe and gravimetric data:
These two figures would go nicely with the table data. Perhaps I should make similar ones for Tidmarsh East?

Here's a cleaner version of the figure showing the change in soil moisture measured at 30 random sites at Tidmarsh East from before restoration (2014) to after (2017) during similar conditions.
And the same template of the figure, but now showing the change in soil moisture measured at 29 random sites at Tidmarsh East from before restoration (2014) to after (2018) during similar conditions.
We can keep a tally of potential figures here in comments to refer back to while writing.
