Contribution to enable Stomp transport protocol #697

Hi,

Searching about Celery support for Stomp I've seen that the only implementation available is kombu-stomp project but it does not appears to have any maintenance since May-2015, also only supports Stomp version 1.0.

Is this project official? It sounds that not!

If really not, I would like to ask you:

  1. Is it a desired feature?
  2. May I do that contribution for Kombu?

Celery is a mature software and I think this contribution would benefit lots of projects that relies, for example, on ActiveMQ. Also, increase transport clients of Kombu.
