@DaveBowman2001 In the HD 154088 addon, wouldn't it be more appropriate to put it in the Kepler Era category? Because the planet was discovered in 2011 and the addon was released in 2015, and in those times not even TESS had been launched.
HD 154088 addon, wouldn't it be more appropriate to put it in the Kepler Era category?
I'm following the date the planet's existence was confirmed, and not the first date it was spotted. All exoplanet addons I've submitted here follow the confirmation date because most of the time, news for a newly discovered planet were being made right after the planet was confirmed to exist (e.g. Omega Serpentis) even though in some cases a planet will later be disproven (like Fomalhaut b)
Title: CYGNSS Description: The Cyclone Global Navigation Satellite System (CYGNSS) is a series of eight Earth science satellites aiming to improve hurricane forecasting by better understanding the interactions between the sea and the air near the core of a storm. Title: SolarMax
No, don't add this yet, along with other shuttle-related spacecraft like ERBS, LDEF, Leasat, and EURECA
At least SolarMax, if I'm not mistaken, you still haven't updated to the latest version of Space Shuttles. When you post the Space Shuttles addon, I think it can be updated there. For now, I see that SolarMax works perfectly.
I have made an unreleased update for SolarMax (and other payloads I've mentioned) that became dependent with the future update for STS, so once Space Shuttle became online, that might introduce compatibility issues with one another if that became available on mobile already.
No concrete release date yet since as of now the Soviet Space Program (mobile) is the priority ATM (only one part not released yet is Mir). Once that is completely done, either Project Apollo or the STS will follow suit
Okay, so for now I will delete SolarMax.
Title: PSR B1828-11 Description: PSR B1828-11 is a pulsar about 10,264 light-years away in the constellation Scutum. In 2006, it was theorized that a Pluto-sized object made out of quarks is orbiting only 65,000 km away from the neutron star. This hypothesis was listed in SIMBAD as controversial Proposed category: Hypotherical & Disproven Demo Object Name: PSR B1828-11 Author(s): Edasich Release date: 2010-Apr-15 Link to download: PSR B1828-11.zip Image:

Title: Kepler-70 Description: Kepler-70 is a blue subdwarf about 4,155 light-years away in the constellation Cygnus. Observations in 2011 show that two very hot subterran planets are present in tight orbits less than 1.2 million km from the star's photosphere. However, subsequent analysis of the system in 2019 suggest that the supposed planetary signatures are actually stellar activity, thus disproving their existence. Proposed category: Hypothetical & Disproven Demo Object Name: Kepler-70 Author(s): SpaceStalker Release date: 2020-Nov-3 Link to download: Kepler-70.zip Image:
Title: Cloudsat CloudSat is a NASA Earth observation satellite, which was launched on April 28, 2006. @DaveBowman2001 wanted to inform you that the addon LBV Catalog is creating a duplicate of Eta Carinae. Originally, Eta Carinae already comes in Celestia, but being a single star. The addon adds the binary system and the nebula, so it ends up creating a duplicate, which the addon adds and the one already in Celestia.
Title: Asterix Description: Asterix is the first French satellite. It was launched on 26 November 1965 by a Diamant A rocket from the CIEES launch site at Hammaguir, Algeria. With Asterix France became the sixth country to have an artificial satellite and the third country to launch a satellite on its own rocket. Its main purpose was to test the Diamant launcher, though it was also designed to study the ionosphere. Asterix orbits Earth as of 2022 and is expected to do so for centuries. But communication with the satellite was lost just 2 days after its launch. Updated Voyager 1 and 2 addon. Added new description ID: 7EC33280-6523-8F01-FB57-AB000C1000DB
Description: The Voyager program consists of two NASA space probes to study the outer planets of the Solar System. Both launched in 1977, studied Jupiter and Saturn, and Voyager 2 had its mission extended and studied Uranus and Neptune. In 1990, when the two probes concluded their main mission, they had their missions extended to the study of interstellar space. In 2022, both Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 remain active, and are expected to run at least until 2025-2030 when the power in their RTGs runs out.

Ok...will do an extensive review of this addon later today
Also @levinli303 , since this was discussed extensively yesterday about the categories for Fictional Addons, is it possible that a general description be written on top of each category? I mean when a category is opened, there's a quick summary on top of the addons?
Update for ExoMars (Rosalind Franklin, 6D5753D0-64DE-AFEE-DA54-345FDBA38D19). Landing year changed from 2023 into its new preliminary target 2026, reflecting that this mission isn't actually entirely cancelled despite the situations I respectfully won't specify
Description: Rosalind Franklin, previously known simply as the ExoMars rover, is a planned robotic Mars rover, part of the international ExoMars programme led by the European Space Agency and Roscosmos. The mission was originally scheduled to launch in July 2020, but was postponed to 2022. However, the project was put on hold in the wake of an ongoing European conflict that year, and while not entirely cancelled, it's next realistic launch window/arrival would not come until 2026 at the earliest Link to Download: ExoMars (Rosalind Franklin).zip
@DaveBowman2001 it would only be visible on the web version and does not appear on mobile because category list and add-on list are native. And native means the app has to be updated to support new feature, and the new feature has to be implemented both in iOS way and Android way... which is getting harder to maintain.
they are the last piece of addon integration in the mobile app that have not been converted to web. im thinking about doing it the way it is done on Windows UWP in app. (UWP add-on integration is broken atm)
Actions:
Proposal to move "Dream Chaser" (57435020-38B6-C558-AA07-AFB4866383E0) into a new category, since the spacecraft's new design is now far different externally than what was depicted in the existing addon:

Title: X-20 Description: The Boeing X-20, also known as DynaSoar, was a cancelled US Air Force (USAF) program to develop a spaceplane that could be used for a variety of military missions, including aerial reconnaissance, bombing, space rescue, satellite maintenance, and as a space interceptor to sabotage enemy satellites. The program ran from 1957 to 1963, until it was replaced by the Manned Orbiting Laboratory program. However, along with X-15, the studies conducted for this project later contributed greatly to the success of the Space Shuttle and X-37B programs decades later Proposed category: Spacecraft (Conceptual) Demo Object Name: X-20 Author(s): ScyBladeghost, Adirondack Release date: 2008-Mar-26 Link to download: X-20.zip Image:

Ah got it. Well, it isn't that needed the most atm anyway, better leave it for long-term plans for now
Categories for fictional addons. Descriptions below not necessary for now, but will leave it here anyway
"For over ten thousand years the ArcWays have slumbered, lost to the ages and buried under the sediments of time on many worlds. But now they are rediscovered and utilized by Humanity, and a united stellar neighborhood is the ultimate result. And such a League of Worlds will be needed, for as old as the ArcWays are, they contain a terrible force billions of years older, and it will not rest once awakened"
-- J. M. Dollan, 2007 --
"Welcome to Orion's Arm, a scenario set thousands of years in the future where civilization spans the stars. Godlike ascended intelligences rule vast interstellar empires, and lesser factions seek to carve out their own dominions through intrigue and conquest. Out beyond the edge of civilized space and the human-friendly worlds, adventure awaits those prepared to risk all"

@DaveBowman2001 i've enabled description for add-on categories on the web (I don't plan to support it in mobile clients, because in-app add-on/category list is planned to be removed). description
has always been a field for categories so at the moment they are populated with a value of "xxx add-ons for Celestia" already.
a suggestion for add-on category covers, it should have a width/height ratio of 3:1, and probably it is not ideal to have text on the cover (because category name will be displayed above the. cover).
Title: HD 80606 Description: HD 80606 is a Sun-like star about 217 light-years away in the constellation Ursa Major. Title: Tyche Description: Tyche is a gas giant planet that was theorized to exist about 15,000 AU from the Sun, effectively orbiting inside the Oort Cloud. This was first theorized by Dr. John Matese, et. al., of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 1999, arguing that its gravitational influence is responsible for long-period comets coming towards the inner Solar System. Observations by the WISE Observatory in 2014 rules out a Jupiter-sized object out to 26,000 AU, thus indicating Tyche does not truly exist
(NOTE: This is an entirely different object from Planet Nine, which was first proposed by Mike Brown in 2016, a full two years after Tyche was disproven)
