SSP-ClassicsV2 Repack very Unstable #109

I'm using the SSP-classicsV2 repack with warmane client for WTLK 3.35 and it's incredibly unstable. Was fine for a few hours, but now I can't get the server to run for more than a few minutes.

I tried running Serverfix.bat then Updateserver.bat to no avail. The log file keeps returning the same type of report. I just can't make sense of it.

137ffa39mangosd.exe[6-10_6-16-10].txt

Is the problem the warmane client? I'm not sure which client I was supposed to use. But I have thousands of hours on that client with no stability issues playing on Warmane servers.

Forgot to mention that the only setting I have changed was kill xp from 1 to 1.5 and log level from 1 to 0. Two fairly harmless settings I imagine.

I'm also running the Mangobots addon, the one supplied in the repack. I left everything at default settings. 500 bots get created I think.

I also disabled Solocraft as it was acting up. The only other addons are the one's I use for Warmane: Atlas loot Gatherer Recount Grid Quartz Gearscore

Just noticed some other strange occurrences. I was in Zangamarsh where I encountered a priest who was essentially invisible. His model was a small white and blue checkered box. He told me he doesn't loot greys and flew away..

Also on my newly created paladin, food and drinks have no effect. Have yet to test on my druid as she hasn't had a need to drink yet lol.

Seems something is terribly wrong here.

Somewhat of a breakthrough regarding stability. If I go to backwater places, that aren't major cities or major hubs, it remains stable. So it seems it's got something to do with the bot AI or perhaps Mangobots addon.

I see now that the client has very little to do with it. I'm getting virtually identical results on a fresh and clean Sunwell client.

I have since worked out that the food/drink bug only affects top-tier beverages. Pungent seal whey for instance works, as do lesser beverages.

At this point, I'm convinced all of these problems are server related, I just have no idea how to fix it.

Certain boss encounters like Drakkari colossus (Gundrak) are bugged in both clients, crashing the server every time. So far Violet hold is the only heroic that was completed without a hitch.

Seems many of these issues relate to an incomplete spell database. Bot's use maybe 5% of their abilities, typically ignoring most core spells of their spec.

I recreated my paladin from Warnane and used him as a tank, he refuses to use correct auras, seals, and judgments (even with mangobot manipulation) and so goes OOM after/during each pull. Likewise, I've only seen DK tank bots use D&D once so far.

Hello, yes client has nothing to do with server stability. SPP Classics wotlk only works somewhat decently on SSD. Also you can try using "beta" mangosd.exe that will be in next repack update. https://mega.nz/file/LEcCiDYL#B-dY_-fci6vjuXNPHLWLyBVxXwMeaZ0yrbYfUhKSM_c You can replace your current mangosd.exe (SPP_Server/Server/Binaries/wotlk/Bin64 by this one.

Hey, celguar. Thank you for the reply, and of course for your work on SSP classics release.

As it happens my Warmane client was on a mechanical HDD with SSP on SSD. Unfortunately, I get identical results with Sunwell client installed to SSD. The only difference now is that the game is a lot more responsive. Though for some reason chain-casting is actually harder than it was on Warmane with 320 ping. Maybe I just need to adjust.

On a side note- I deleted all bots and regenerated them with a tighter level range, this time 300-500 min/max bots. It worked pretty well for a while. I spent about 2 hours inside FOS struggling with the end boss. After 20+ attempts I recognized that it was impossible as there isn't a command function to make bots avoid debuff pools or other damaging AOE abilities.

I then used the GM command to kill the boss as I wanted to test bot limitation in POS. This worked but going back to Frozen halls to attempt to hand in the quest resulted in a repeatable crash. So I could not get back into the instance. Possible relation to bot quest malfunction.

Thank you for posting that updated file. I will give that a try next and report back with anything useful. Cheers!
