10 months ago As an addendum for anyone else doing the quest, if you place the carcasses at the edges and/or corners of the field, you have a higher likelihood of a Drake coming down to feed. I've placed dozens of carcasses so far, and have 6/8 completion. After you set a few down, they will simply attack you (even when you set them down in other places where they haven't fed). So log for awhile, come back and repeat. I've been doing the quest all day (on and off again) and I'm thinking it should be able to complete in this fashion.
"Kindness" is the quest that kicks off your journey to grind your rep for your Netherdrake, and is required to start the questline to get Neutral with the faction. You kill the Flayers, gather their hides and put them out in the field to feed the netherdrakes flying above. on 90% of the field, they will simply not come down to feed. If you drop one between the two big rock crystals on the field next to the Scryer town, a drake will come down to feed once or twice, but afterward will attack and kill you. I killed about 20 flayers and only successfully got 3 drakes to feed. Makes the entire faction grind to get the Netherdrake impossible at this point.
