Wind Modulation with Wind Ninja #87

I'm curious how one would go about using wind grids along with Cell2Fire. In other systems Wind Ninja grids are used to adjust wind speed and direction in areas of high terrain to better represent funnelling and eddies.

This leads me to two questions:

  1. Is there a spatial component to the weather in its current form, or is applied to all cells equally and winds are vectored cell by cell according to slope?
  2. Is there a plan for implementing wind modulation grids at all?

Notably spatial interpolation may not be necessary, I'm working on this with another model and constantly contemplating how we do it in Prometheus.
