I have noticed in the past that the heuristics for selecting active and silent sections don't very robustly. Having the diagnostic plot showing active regions along with the mean intensity of the detrended movie is going to be a good thing to have in the output. This helps the user to notice if the heuristic has failed. The users could then opt to disable the heuristic and use all frames.
