Hi,
I've had this issue since maybe Fedora 36. It's not just speeding up for me. This happens when I press the arrows (fwd, bwd) to rewind. The player becomes altogether laggy, the audio and video get out of sync so the video speeds up until they catch-up. Sometimes the audio continues but the video freezes. When I click on the timeline as described by @kenet71, it takes a long time for the the video to jump and sometimes there are also the above problems.
Another problem is that the player struggles playing high quality videos and it constantly lags.
Please note that all problems only happen on the RPM version for me. The flatpak works fine, however half of the icons are missing for me.
Otherwise, I think this is the best player and I use it every day. Thank you for your work.
I videotaped the problem. You can check the timeliness on YouTube and the timer on the video. 0:28 sec - 4:35 in video timer, 0:38 sec - 4:20 in timer. But I think, even visually it is noticeable that the seconds on the video are counting too fast, after I managed to catch this bug starting from 28th second of the video.
Thanks for the video. That's very strange indeed.
Can you also upload a log file? I want to see if mpv is receiving a command to increase playback speed.
Hello,
I'm experiencing the same issue on Celluloid 0.27 (rpm version). The following are my system details:
From the terminal I get the following:
$ celluloid 'Zeze Kingston & Temwah - Mvetsela (Komabe Njoya) Official Music Video.mp4'
(io.github.celluloid_player.Celluloid:393142): celluloid-WARNING **: 10:11:10.331: Failed to open script options directory: /home/$USER/.config/celluloid/script-opts
Cannot load libcuda.so.1
Find the attached screenshots below:
Here is the log: celluloid.log
