Check Network logs to see if any Firewall rules is blocking outgoing connections (blocked connections appear with a red coloured left-hand side border, and tapping on these should bring up a bottomsheet with more details about the connection).

phone is not receiving messages

Notifications?

app is not in the foreground

All apps?

I said messages because I noticed it mainly with WhatsApp so yes notifications/messages. Screenshot_20240602_222446_Rethink.png

I can only see this during the time the screen was off (it looks weird, no?) and one request from WhatsApp Screenshot_20240602_222330_Rethink.png

Tap on some of those zero upload / zero download entries in the Network log and see what message is shown at the footer of the bottomsheet (that comes up when you tap on those entries).

I've been experiencing an overall slowdown (browser timeouts, delayed notifications, slow apps, slow messaging), which I assumed was due to Wireguard instability. But after trying out the new setting to bypass apps from proxies, it seems the issue was something else.

After some testing, I disabled the "Advanced DNS filtering" and the issues seem to have stopped.

Could this issue also be related to that?

I have this option disabled, I think we have different issues, check #1115
