https://api.ip.sb/geoip/ provides free GeoIP API with data from both IPIP.NET and MaxMind GeoIP2 databased. It can be used for free, but too many usage may render it under abuse. The copy from V2Ray is specialized in configuring routing in V2Ray.

Prefer if there was an offline db-dump instead; contacting a server for IP information leaks a lot about a user's online activity to those servers...

I know. I am Dark Descend. The first options are offline GeoIP databases.

Server side changes are done (that is, we now mirror Frank Denis' iptoasn database for download by the app). Client side change (which are plenty!) remain.
