What I did

Fixed initial expanded items should expand all parents

How to test

Storybook -> TreeView -> Complex example -> note that all parents of item 'Section 5.1: Apple pie apple pie tart macaroon topping chocolate cake' are expanded even if we list only this item but don't list parents inside 'initialExpandedItems' prop
