So far the three models presented here include only channels necessary to produce spiking activity (NaP, NaT, Kf, and Ks). However, we know that calcium channels (e.g., CaT) and calcium-dependent potassium channels (e.g., KCa or BK) exist in these cells [need references here]. Adding these channels would allow simulating cell activity without using chemical blockers (so far we're only replicating activitiy in presence of cadmium block).
This taks will require some data fitting, but we have partial data for Ca and KCa and a lot of fitting procedures in Matlab (part of Pandora). Respond below if anyone is interested in contributing to this task.
