Description

Request

It'd be great to see the community written blog post on the following two things. You are free to choose to write them in 1 post or split them into 2 series of posts.

  1. Using OnFinality blockchain as a service to create you own blockchain for experiment or development purposes, or for organisations to set up a consortium chain. Here is a simple guide to get you started.
  2. Using rUN a Node node software both in GUI and CLI to set up a CENNZNet Node that connects to the CENNZNet testnet Rimu blockchain. Here is a simple quick start guide for the rUN GUI

Additional useful info

Solution that we would like

Ideally, we'd like to see a broadly accessible tutorial(s) that demonstrates end to end how to use these tools and the benefits of them. Specifically,

For Request 1 Using OnFinality

  1. Set up a blockchain on OnFinality
  2. Use relavant tools like explorer to navigate the chain
  3. Set up Accounts on explorer to perform a transfer transaction
  4. (Bonus) Deploy a runtime module to show how the chain can be used. here's an example runtime module you can deploy.

For Request 2 Using rUN a Node

  1. Use GUI to set up a Node that connects to the Rimu CENNZNet testnet
  2. Use CLI to set up a Node that connects to the Rimu CENNZNet testnet
  3. Get test tokens from Faucet, and perform a transfer
  4. (Bonus) Complete the staking process. Here's a simple guide to get you started.

Success

A successful blog post(s) would be visual, including but not limited to screenshots, code samples, screen recordings / videos of the process.

Readers of the blog post(s) should be able to follow the steps of using OnFianlity and rUN a Node, to create their own blockchains, and to set up nodes to connect to CENNZNet Rimu testnet.

The post(s) would be published on widely read platforms like Medium.

The post(s) should contain 5oo words or more, and should provide new information not contained in the info provided by Centrality.

Selection

Please provide examples of previous writing and your plan for this task.

Hello there, my name is David Asamonye, I have been in the Blockchain space for two years now, I previously worked remotely with RChain and did some freelancing jobs such as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvgODt4kYpo&feature=youtu.be.

As regarding this job, I will spend two or three days setting it up on my local machine to properly understand how it is done and then do a proper step by step procedure in two separate articles and finally upload to medium or any blog of the Team's choosing. 2) adrianhacker-pdx has started work.

Hello, I would like to start work on this bounty for you. I'm an excellent technical writer, I have been a member of Gitcoin for almost a month, and have a 100% success rate with a very high reliability rating. I am quite certain I can turn this around for you in under a week. I have experience technical writing in industry for companies like HP and Intel producing procedures, training material, and writing results from DOE quality testing. I can't seem to sign up on the web site to be able to access the blockchain mechanism. If I could perhaps get some sort of trial key / credentials that would be super helpful. I am going to start work on the node set up and execution while waiting to get that log in information. Depending on how intuitive it is, I write instructions by turning them into criterion referenced instruction and break it down to very small increments. Knowing that a tech savvy audience will be using your product, I am a firm believer that clear writing free of jargon and tribal knowledge serves everyone the best. I am going to do screen recording and written materials combined. The written portion will be done in markdown so as to render here and on places like reddit. I look forward to delivering you quality materials and the opportunity to be a guest star in your eco system. Kindest Regards, Adrian

@adrianhacker-pdx Go for it and apply in the website so you can start working

@Solexplorer @wilfred-centrality I'm digesting the documentation online and wanted to mention a couple broken links, just as a heads up. Under the CENNZNet SDK heading in the online docs, crml-cennzx-spot and crml-generic-asset are 404 Not found. I have started work on the Gitcoin platform. I'm looking forward to giving your BaaS a spin. API Reference @cennznet/cli is also 404 not found.

I found the stuff to set up a local test net. That is what I will use to deploy a blockchain instance.

Hello, everyone!

Thank you for expressing the interest to work on this bounty. However, we have to close that for now. We'll have more issues to work on, so keep an eye on Centrality Gitcoin page here - https://gitcoin.co/profile/centrality-bounties.
