CENNZnet NFT DApp Competition

Background

The blockchain world is all about NFTs (Non-fungible tokens) right now. That's why we've created the CENNZnet NFT module to help you build the next big thing in NFT quickly. Using the NFT module you can create, sell NFTs and charge royalties on CENNZnet using a friendly Javascript API without ever needing to touch a smart contract. You can also expand the module’s functionalities to make your NFTs more unique and complex.

Challenge

This is an open-ended challenge for you to develop a DApp that uses the NFT module.

You can solve a real-world problem, add NFT to your game, or implement a crazy idea. We are looking for projects that can grow into successful businesses. For inspiration, read our articles on what NFT allows you to do (links below)!

For this challenge, please deploy it to the CENNZnet TestNet. You can issue yourself tokens to use on the TestNet using the faucet.

Prizes

Rewards include $8500 in DAI which will be awarded at judges’ discretion:

• The winner gets $5000 in DAI
• Runner up gets $2000 in DAI
• Up to 5 submissions that showed good effort get $300 in DAI
• If there is not sufficient work to warrant the entire bounty being awarded, it should not be.

We also have a grant program with a funding pool of NZ$500,000. The best teams can be considered for the grant which can help you develop your DApp into a successful business.

Deliverables

1. A live demo of your DApp (Link to the website or app)
2. A link to your code repository (If open-source)
3. For bonus points: Documentation site, tutorials, blog posts, links to your social media posts.

To qualify for a bonus, make sure:

• Your documentation or tutorials describe the functionalities of your DApp clearly.
• Add images where relevant
• Share what you learned in social media posts, so that others can learn from your experience.

Judging criteria

(i) Quality of the Idea (Includes creativity and originality of the idea.)

• Suitable use of decentralisation and blockchain
• Social impact of the problem
• Well-defined problem and audiences
• Originality and creativity

(ii) Implementation of the Idea (Includes how well CENNZnet was leveraged in the solution.)

• UX/UI Design
• Demonstrate how you decentralised your app or a part of your app
• Use the CENNZnet API to store some information on the blockchain

(iii) Business model

• A sustainable business model/growth plan

Bonus points:

• Be an open-source project.
• Publish documentation
• Publish tutorials or blogposts about your DApp
• Share your DApp or your journey of building it on social media
