Greetings.

I see you have the android project in here. But do you have any plans on porting the code and making it work on normal desktop gnu+linux distro? Thanks.

Hi @sxiii. I'm sorry for the late reply. We actually develop on Linux (Debian and Ubuntu), but we don't have a polished apk that users would be able to install easily. Right now one would have to compile ouinet, run it with proper CMD arguments, set up a browser to use ouinet as a proxy and install a small browser WebExtension. If you're interested, we can guide you through this process.

Oh I see. Yeah why not! Plese do.

However I was looking more into the desktop experience as I use desktop/laptop 95% of the time while phone less than 5% of the time.

Thanks

Considering the current events, this would be extremely helpful to help spreading the truth in countries that are blocking the access to information - not everyone has an Android.

What could be done to get this running cross-platform?

@sxiii and @hellojere, until we have the time to create proper desktop packages for Ouinet, I suggest that you use the pre-configured CENO Docker client. The readme includes instructions on how to configure a Firefox browser to use Ouinet for browsing besides acting as a bridge.
