Out at LA1 this morning, missing @sroberts. I'll probably be out of the house a few mornings this week. I was thinking of checking out Yellow Bird Cafe on Third St, just a few doors down from Midtown Scholar.

Would anyone be interested? @daverobertson do you know if parking down there is free?

Yellow bird is good for food, just okay with coffee. No espresso drinks but they give you an extra refill. Worth checking out though. Half block from the scholar; it’s a great choice for breakfast or lunch when visiting / working there.

You can park on the street out front* for a limited time but spaces are often scarce. If those are gone, the best bet is to park in the nearby Broad Street Market parking lot and walk over. There’s supposedly a 2 hour limit there but it’s almost never enforced.

FYI, Standard Parking is installing the new meters all the way up to Reily St; I don’t think they’re active yet but I’ve been away. Just something to be prepared for :(

Yellow Bird is a good place to work; but it is small and can get very busy and cramped at lunchtime.
