What's that all about? I've seen people type stuff like that but honestly I don't get it. Is it a meme I missed or some cool ruby dev reference that I'm not hip to?

It's a common thing among text editors like VIm and Emacs. Means substitute this pattern with this pattern where the pattern is usually a string or a regular expression.

Haha, sounds good. Except turns out I have a video call at 330 now. Any chance we can be back in Mburg by 3? If that's cramping your style I can bow out for tomorrow.
