You can achieve what you want with Windows settings. Currently when you change language, it is changed for all apps. But you can modify this setting, and changing language will only change language in this one app. So Cerebro will have English by default, and it will stay English even if you change language in other apps.
How about the mac? I face this issue all the time.
I am already setting the option to give each document (program) its own input setting:
Weird, I just checked and looks like this flag doesn't work with Cerebro, @Arwany. Probably it is a bug on our side, I'll try to find solution.
It should be done on OS level, not in Cerebro. So, we won't add any checkboxes to Cerebro, but we will try to fix behaviour with this flag /cc @FIJN
Thanks @KELiON , I just tried it on a new installation and I can say this:
In multi language Windows os (ex. RU/EN) during work very often switch languages each other. Then I use the search in cerebro and want to seek in google "green apple" (but language is switched to russian and you of course don't remember that) as s result you can see "пкуут фззду" (what?) but a mean green apple :(
Very need checkbox (or select) in settings to lock default language in cerebro: English. But manual change language is possible in any time using keys.
