• Copying an unapproved blueprint makes you only copying the checkmark (which then is an invisible blueprint)

• Having this mod enabled and trying to place tunnels/underground pipes makes the dashed connection line disappear

Hello there :)

So, first of all, just to give some heads-up - although I am not the original author of the mod, @ceresward has been kind enough to make me a contributor on both (this) Github repository and on the mod portal after I created a (friendly) fork called Construction Planner Continued.

The fork contains numerous fixes and improvements, so I would suggest trying it out as an alternative. Truth be told, I was supposed to already merge all of those changes back into this repository and deprecate the fork, but I've been a bit too lazy about it (and I really shouldn't be, migrations should be fairly simple since I've done it in opposite direction already).

With that in mind, a couple of things to note with the issues you reported:

• Construction Planner functionality is implemented in a bit of a weird way - basically the unapproved ghosts belong to a different force and are overlaid with those placeholders (checkmarks) that belong to player's own force so you can select something for copying. The way it works now, you will always only see checkmarks when dragging an area to copy. There is not much that can be done about that, unfortunately.
• Most of the phantom placeholder issues should have been resolved in the forked version, though there is a list of known issues you may want to read through.
• In case of dashed connections disappearing for undergrounds, unfortunately that is a result of the unapproved ghost not belonging to player's own force, and not much can be done about that one either. As a sidenote, the fork does contain some fixes around placement of undergrounds to make sure they are (mostly) correctly aligned.
• I haven't played Factorio in a while, so there is some chance that the Construction Planner Continued has some breakages with latest stable releases, but issue reports are welcome for that one as well :)
