great plugin. But, noticed on full movies on the site none of the movies on there are on here. Plus. I cannot get any videos to work on any client even plex web. Seems like the URL status is no longer working

cerk commented 11 years ago

Yep, I am seeing this too now. I can't look at it for the next couple of days, but will try fixing it then.

TechSavyy commented 11 years ago

Ok thank you so much!

TechSavyy commented 11 years ago

You should post this channel on the plex forums. It would get a lot more attention

cerk commented 11 years ago

Is there an official way to post the channel on the plex forums? Currently there is just a Plex message board thread for the Lifetime channel.

TechSavyy commented 11 years ago

Yeah soon as the issues are fixed. I will talk to élan and see if he will post it as a channel. I am sure I can get it officially posted if you don't mind ?

Thanks for you're work on this. I wish I knew how to make channels. Is there a guide? I wanted to try and make one. I thought tubtub.com would be a good channel.

No I don't mind if it is posted as a channel, although technically I don't think it is "complete" yet in terms of supporting all functionality that a channel is supposed to support. There are some decent guides for plex channel development (just search for them) but the best way to learn is probably to deconstruct an existing channel and try to understand what is going on. It certainly isn't trivial. I'll start working on these problems tomorrow - can't get to them today.

Bad news. It appears Lifetime switched their video protocol from RTMPE to encrypted Adobe HDS. Currently Plex can't handle this format so the only way to update the plugin would be to use a site configuration, but it is an inferior method. I'll see if I can't whip up a site configuration for it, but it most likely won't be as nice or as functional as it was before.

Any luck?

Changed the plugin to use WebKit. Unfortunately I have been unable to get play/pause/rewinding/fast forwarding to work with the site configuration. However, if you watch via Roku you get a limited time window in which you can play/pause/rewind (fast forwarding is usually problematic), based on the way Plex transcodes for it. Still working on the full movies that you can't watch with the plugin.
