I have discussed with DDI Technical Committee how to document data file language, what would be the best place. They told us they are adding language to fileCitation, so in DDI 2.6 the x-path will be:

codebook/fileDscr/fileTxt/fileCitation/prodStmt/language

DDI profile for CDC will need to be changed when DDI 2.6 is published and SPs informed. Will need changes at harvesting end as well?

On hold till DDI 2.6 is published.

Updating version is preferred to setting status to on hold.
