Possibility to use validator to check endpoints #265

The amended CDC profiles will be published shortly. The aim is to implement them in June 2021.

We would like to test each current endpoint with the validator Basic gate, to see what kind of problems SP metadata would have. Then John and I would discuss these with them, to give them time to adapt their metadata or OAI-PMH.

For this, it is necessary that the incoming data can be validated with the validator.

John will hopefully amend this ticket to IT speak…

Situation on 23 September 2022 when the issue was closed:

Validator is already being used at CDC for validating data and informing SPs of validation failures.

Invalid records are not rejected from CDC at the moment but are rejected from the CDC Aggregator (e.g. CDC OAI-PMH).
