Dear CVS Editors,

as of today, please do not use the CVS Editor since a new version of the CESSDA Controlled Vocabulary Service will be released soon. Be aware that if you do any changes in the Editor at this time, they will not be included in the new release. We will inform you when you will be able to use it again.

Thank you for your understanding and kind regards,

Maja Dolinar

We are having some problems with the logos for the documentation (updated in dev an d staging but not in production).

I suggest you lift the content freeze if you are happy with rest of functionality and we will ‘silently’ update the logos ASAP.

I can see that the logos are now working also on production. I will create an email to send to the content editors to unfreeze the content.

Email was sent to the Content Editors on 2/2/2023:

Dear CVS Editors,

this is to let you know that the CVS Editor is available again to you.

We have just released the 3.0.0 version of the CESSDA Controlled Vocabulary Service which marks a major milestone in its development since we are finally moving out of Beta. The main differences from the previous version are that CVs and terms can no longer be deleted, only deprecated and CVs now use 3-digit versioning, with the same version number being applied to all language variants within a CV.

To implement those changes, existing workflows have been modified and new ones created. In addition, a large number of improvements and fixes have been made, some visible to the users and some behind the scenes. The Editor User Guide and end Use Guides have been extensively revised to reflect the changes to the service.

Since a lot of changes to the service occurred, I would like to organize training for all of the translators in February. Please fill in your availabilities in the doodle so that we can find the best time slot for the training event:

If you have any questions about the new version, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Kind regards,

Maja Dolinar
