Resolved, On hold, Stale, Closed, othe states of the issues #591

Comparing to bitbucket, we have lost the resolve button for issues (not only this one, also other states are missing). Everything is in close, but it doesn't make sense.

This can be acheived by using labels alongside the GitHub issue states (closed as completed; closed as not done). I've added labels for "Resolved" and "On hold". Please let us know if there are any more states that you would like.

@matthew-morris-cessda I still only see two states: Close as completed (done, closed, fixed, resolved) ad Close as not planned (...). Is it possible to get at least the resolved state out of the Closed?

You have to use labels for this purpose. GitHub only understands 3 issue states: open, closed as completed and closed as not done. See https://docs.github.com/en/issues/tracking-your-work-with-issues/closing-an-issue for GitHub's documentation.
