Improve type safety througout the application #774

This PR disables the suppressImplicitAnyIndexErrors TypeScript option and fixes the type errors exposed by this being disabled.

Changes include:

Some types were changed from being any to the correct string type.
The DTO objects were also simplified by using TypeScript interface definitions and removing redundant classes.
404 pages no longer change the browser-facing URL.
