Parse all the notes, i.e.,

notes: "1. Hervey (Wm.) Jnl. (27 Sep. 1774). 2. Byres letters MSS C (31 Dec. 1774). 3. SP 93/30 (Hamilton, 10 Jan. 1775). 4. Morrison, 1:37 (no.52). 5. AVR SA, S.Lorenzo in Lucina."

Take out the parenthesis thing and link the rest of it.

Find me an example of when the footnote entry appears in the text. (ex: Charles Devenish)
