Considering issue #8, it would be appropriate to add accept/decline buttons in notification balloon (See Blueman and Ekiga). I do not think people would want to see GPhone's window surprisingly grabbing focus while user is doing another task.
If you would add a "try (to connect) again in x seconds" feature, you might prefer to manifest it on notification balloon with a Try again button on it. Try again would also be good for balloon notification messages when remote end did not answer or declined call.
