responding to my own question: STUB driver is for the Host PC (here is the USB connected physically) vhci(wdm or ude) driver is for the client PC
so the host pc will always need to be put into TEST MODE, and the client (remote) PC only needs to run usbip.exe install
Is this a choice? does this mean that I could only use the VHCI drivers and have not need to reboot in test signing mode? I have managed to make it work but only with test mode, I'm now trying to optimize the whole process, would be great If didn't need to reboot in test mode, right now it only works that way and my device is detected as a USB/IP STUB device![image](https://github.com/cezanne/usbip-win/assets/67523369/0739b47b-97de-4aa7-9d12-01555393f21a)
