A new feature request that perhaps others will also find helpful: would it be possible to only show notifications after a certain threshold count has been reached? Replies and DMs should always trigger a notification.
It's a bit obnoxious to be always notified when new tweets come in -- sometimes I want to get some work done and only be bothered every once in a while.
For instance, assume I've set the threshold to 10 and closed the Silver Bird popup. When the next tweet comes into my home stream, don't notify me. When the ninth tweet arrives, don't notify me. When the tenth arrives, change the bird icon to the notification color and mark the notification count as "10".
