A number of changes have been submitted to the compas/GRASP master file and are waiting for implementation. The code we are developing should be for this version.
For heavy elements, the present format is so long it is essentially unreadable. But it can be shortened by storing the information externally in a format that eliminates repeated information. The new format basically is output by configuration along with quantum numbers and coupling information. An example is the file for the 4d(8)4f(4) configuration that shows the role of seniority in the quantum numbers for the subshells along with information about the general layout. The file can be viewed here.
Another change in the format is the inclusion of a line between Line 4 and line 5 of .c that include the state
Nblock:nnn in (A8,I3) format where nnn is the number of blocks so that the loader knows inc advance the number of blocks. A version of RCSFGENERATE is available with these changes and will be placed cube:/local/cff/share in a day or so.
Shortened format for.c
