posting current page with selection feature request #10

it's not a problem it's ore like a feature request What steps will reproduce the problem? "steps i'd like to see"

  1. highlight certain text on the page
  2. then click the twitterbar icon
  3. now twitter bar shortening the url and post a new tweet.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? when you click directly on the icon it just automatically post only the link and not the associated text.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system? right now i'm using the latest version with firefox 3.0.8 on winxp

Please provide any additional information below. i'd really like this feature as i don't like using bookmakrlets and other service when i know that twitterbar can do it much easier and this way tweeting will never be easier.

thanks

I like this idea. A similar idea may be to have a text option that can allow me to post a URL along with some text. The url would still be shortened though.

Either the above idea, or adding text idea would help others know what my shortened twittered url is about. (It's nice that I can add text to all urls, but I would like to add text that helps others know what the url is about.)

I agree with Adres - I tend to want to add my own comment with URLs posted, to give followers an idea of what it's about, rather than just a generic line that I'm looking at a particular page.

Thanks David

David: You can add your own text by just typing it in the URL bar before posting. This feature request is for auto-posting any selected text.
