Goes nuts when running under tmux #19

Duplicated this in iTerm2 and the standard OS X terminal app.

It breaks the whole terminal environment, everything typed or displayed is similarly scrambled.

so the problem here is that it shouldn't have tried to inspect that file in the first place because it's binary, not text.
