I read the instructions carefully and strictly followed the workflow. I forked the repository first. Then I started a new project in Rstudio and pasted the URL of my new GitHub repository. After opening the README.md file, I started to make local changes and committed several times while I was editing the file. Finally, I pulled from GitHub to make sure it's the up-to-date version and then pushed commit to GitHub.

The hard part for me is understanding the overall workflow since this is my first time using GitHub. It's a completely new world to me. The easy part goes to using R Markdown to edit README.md file. The online instructions are very comprehensive and easy to understand. During this process, I want to edit the appearance and style, especially font size and color. I searched solutions and found some comments and solutions in Stack Overflow, https://stackoverflow.com/questions/11509830/how-to-add-color-to-githubs-readme-md-file - "It's not currently possible to specify color for text in GitHub markdown, at least not through HTML." Besides, the font size of preview in Rstudio (very small font size) is different from that in GitHub (normal size). I fail to find answers regarding to this problem.
