The image doesn't need to be as a web link, it can be the name of the file that is uploaded to github just like you commit and push changes, so it should be in the same folder in your computer as the rest of your repository. I encountered problems when adding images. Firstly, I tried: . But I don't know where I should save the image, how to save files at GitHub, and what would happen if I move or delete the image later on. Then I tried to upload the image onto my GoogleDrive by following the method introduced on youtube: . However, the link generated by GoogleDrive was not valid for an online publication. Thus RStudio ran into errors. Then I remembered using flicker for an online research project. So I embedded the url within the format:
But in this case, I added a link instead of an image. Literary, I still haven't figured out how to add an image from my computer.
