This was my first time using R Studio connected to GitHub for version control. Setting up my workspace so that GitHub and R Studio are connected was a bit complicated and required breaking up old habits. I already had both platforms installed in my computer from previous courses but I had never used them together. To make them work I had to rethink my approach to coding to adopt this new workflow. I found the class syllabus very helpful in this regard. On the other hand, the process of updating the README file was fairly straightforward. I used the Markdown syntax available at "daring fireball" to add each of the required elements. The trickier part was making the image work on the GitHub platform. I didn't realize that the platform wouldn't support the image that was saved in my computer, so I had to save the image to GitHub and use the URL from the platform to embed the image into the README.
