Choose which calendars to show #6

From an internal dogfooder

Choose which calendars to show, not only visible calendars.

Actively working on a patch for this.

Ideally it would make sense to show the list of available calendars similar to
how the Gmail extension shows accounts. One potential issue I see with this is
having calendars with identical names across accounts.

One possible solution is to show a sectioned list with the account names as
headers and the calendar names listed.

How does that sound from a UX perspective?

Yeah, that sounds fine. Something like an ExpandableListView perhaps.

I need this badly, 'cause I have lots of calendars activated in my calendar
app, but only a few of them need a reminder on my lock screen.

I don't know much about coding, but could you present it in a similar way to
how the Calendar app let's you choose which calendars to display?

Here's how it shows up in the cLock settings:

[The bats were badly shopped in, but you get the idea]

The last thing on the list [the covered one] is my exchange calendar, it just
shows my corporate email address. I don't know if cLock can easily access the
exchange email because it's built into the system, but ideally something like
this would allow us to select whichever calendars we want to show.

I implemented the extension logic for this to only show selected calendars.
Next on the list is the UI for selecting said calendars.

I'm debating whether the expandable list shows up in a dialog or if it should
be in a ListFragment. Any thoughts on that?

Mike— a single preference leading to a dialog with an expandable list view
seems most natural, but feel free to experiment :)
