Would prefer to use caseta dimmer for the pico remotes, but don't want to spend that much money on a dimmer that would be outside. Probably stick with a cheaper z-wave dimmer.

got the idea from https://www.reddit.com/r/homeautomation/comments/6915nz/how_to_control_string_lights_outside_and_have/

No outdoor zwave dimmer modules exist. I want to run electrical around the perimeter of the fence anyway, so I'm going to have to put a couple zwave dimmers outside wired to outlets. Should be able to get a 2-gang box, zwave dimmer on the left, wired to an outlet on the right. Need to make the outlet somehow (maybe use an orange outlet?) so it's more obvious it's connected to the dimmer. Also want to put a few always-on outlets outside. Make sure it's all GFCI protected.

This is done now. Inovelli zwave dimmer in a 2-gang outdoor enclosure wired to an orange outlet beside it. Currently wired with a regular power cable, but planning to hardwire it eventually when i run electric along the fence.
