Error when adding Evmos to Keplr #795

After adding Evmos to Keplr, the balances show up correctly. But when trying to send tokens, it throws an error: Tx failed, pubKey does not match signer address. I googled for this error, some people were having the same error last year. But I could not find out how it was fixed. I am running a local single node Evmos network and trying to add it to Keplr.
