According to http://www.dell.com/us/business/p/powerconnect-5448/pd it looks like the Dell 5548 supports LLDP. Is LLDP enabled on the 5548 you are testing against?
Yes, the 5548 is configured to support LLDP and it does work with haneWIN LLDP Agent 1.4.9; but not LDWin. I prefer LDWin
Thanks

Hey Ken, OK, no problem. Please can you have a look this https://github.com/chall32/LDWin/wiki/What-To-Do-If-LDWin-Captures-No-Data and letting me have the returned data? Thanks!
Hey Ken,
I've tracked down the LLDP detection problem and I've just released a new version, v2.1 that I hope will work for you.
Please feel free to go ahead and test again using LDWin v2.1 and let me know if it works OK for you.
As always, feedback is much appreciated!
It worked, thanks

Chris,
I have noticed what appears as odd to me. if you keep clicking on Get Link Data" it will cycle through the neighbor switches. 1st time -- HUNT7000-182 Gi5/0/19 <-- this the Core switch, not the first switch 2nd time --HUNT6248-179 1/0/43 <-- this is a neighbor switch, using this port to connect to Hunt5548-34 3rd time -- same as above 4th time -- same as above 5th time -- MullinsK1102 Intel(R) 82577LM Gigabit Network Connection <-- my Workstation 6th time --HUNT6248-179 1/0/43 <-- this is a neighbor switch, 7th time -- same as above 8th time -- MullinsK1102 Intel(R) 82577LM Gigabit Network Connection <-- my Workstation 9th time -- same as above 10th time HUNT5548-34 gigabitethernet1/0/16 <-- the correct switch and port
Strange. Could it be that you have OpenFlow http://groups.geni.net/geni/wiki/OpenFlowDiscoveryProtocol#OpenFlowDiscoveryProtocolOFDP enabled on the network?
When I use LDWin ver 2.0 with a Dell 5548 PowereConnect it passes through the switch and goes to the next switch upstream. O/S Win 7 pro
