I have been using LD-WIN in Windows 11 until lately, receiving same port details all the time within seconds after clicking Get Link Data. seems like it gets stuck..Funny thing is , I am getting same results even when I have not connected any LAN Cable.
When installed in Win10 and the pc is upgraded to Win11: no problems when new installed in win11 i get the following error and no data
I have been using LD-WIN for a few years with Windows 10 and 11 and for a few days I always have the same message. I tried with different connections and always the same message. please help me find a solution.
I had this issue!
on Windows 11 go into Windows Security > Device > Core Isolation.
once that core isolation feature is disabled you need a reboot but mine worked fine after that. I think it gets enabled with Hyper-V maybe 🤔
This feature is enabled by default in the latest versions of Windows 11 and possibly on Windows Server 2022 too. I don't want to have to disable it.
Hello, did anyone find the solution to this problem?
I have the same problem
I made a win11 compatible version with another tcpdump. don't know if it is allowed to share? @chall32
would be nice to have the updated version that will work with win11
Even with core isolation disabled I'm having issues with ldwin updating the ethernet information, instead it will give me the last information and not update. It would be nice to have a more more frequently updated version of this app.
Has anyone found solutions to this issue? I also get the same information from the last port no matter how many different ones I try. I have tried using wireless, uninstall/reinstall, reboot, the core memory isolation fix and still have issues with ldwin getting 'stuck' on the last port.

@bloedsack , if @chall32 didn't get back to you, perhaps you could either
I'm looking for a solution also.
Good morning,
The solution that seems to work for me is to dump the %temp files. It seems to work either using the cleanup utility or command line. So far that's worked even if it takes a few times to do it.
If I can help any other way let me know. Thanks for a great piece of software.

@itnavigate I threw something together that works correctly on Windows 11 without using tcpdump. LinkSkippy: Simple Windows link discovery tool supporting CDP & LLDP
ok, forked it. here you go: https://github.com/bloedsack/LDWin hope i did it right. no experience with github...
Thanks for sharing, @bloedsack . It still doesn't work for me.
Nevermind. It works now. I just have to start the app several times until it decides to work. Sometimes it just refuses to do anything. Then I restart it and it works. The port identifier seems wrong though.
Seems this is still an issue. I reached out to @chall32 on X but I don't know if they will respond as they don't seem active there either.
The app launches but can't retrieve data in Windows 11.
