Really? :-( Yes, it is a buzzword... but it is more trustworthy to scan a barcode than integrate more complexity.

This is not a short-term development, and not about adding a barcode to a certificate (we already have that). This is about making sure that a certificate generated through an LMS anywhere can survive to institutions death/disappearance and that the skills you obtained somewhere are always kept somewhere. This goes past a one-portal installation of Chamilo.

I know what blockchain means, but who will deliver the infrastructure for this blockchain? Storage (for the blockchain data) has to be maintained, also decentralized for no downtime... Also the legal issues?

I know that this is a "thing" since we also had many inquiries about that (for other projects). But when you count up the neccessary stuff, it becomes somewhat complex and not really cheap.

Just my 2 ¢
