4 months ago Chrome creates temporary ".crswap" files during downloads. These can be played in external media players while the download is in progress. I visited the website and observed that it recognizes the media link and produces this temporary file as part of the download process. So I am not sure what the problem is.

4 months ago Yes Mr @chandler-stimson! i can see .crswap file in my download folder and play it with potplayer and vlc, but I still get when the download is finished an error message the cache directory has been modified used by other program....but I can finish watching the video without problem despite this error message from Live stream downloader, but recently when I am watching the previewed video with vlc, potplayer.....the download is interrupted and does not finish so watch the video. crswap file causes a bug and downloading stops abruptly, I will try to take a screenshot of the error message displayed by Live stream downoad and send you to the sports highlights site where this error occurred.. ....
The other problem, despite I activated the option to display hidden files in windows 7 os and windws 10 os, with the new versions of chrome 126, chromium 126....I no longer see the .crswap file! yes with thorium legacy and supermium browser based on chromium 122 LTS, I can see the .crswap file, but with catsxp browser 32 bit which uses a chromium 126 version more recent than thorium and supermium, I no longer see .crswap file! I will try with vivaldi browser because I discovered vivaldi browser is compatible with windows 7 32 bit to double check.....
it will be great if we have the opinions of other users if they can see the .crswap file with chrome 126 because it seems to me chrome 126 has added security measures to hide this .crswap file because it is a sensitive file and playback it with vlc or potplayer before the download finishes causing the download to be interrupted.....
I will try to preview the video and I will send you the error message from Live stream downloader which suddenly stops the download, and thank you again Mr @chandler-stimson for your patience and generosity and precious help and efforts to do this wonderful extension :)
and please Mr @chandler-stimson, i will post streaming link where the error occurs, please try to download the video (which does not weigh much because standard 360p video) until the end while watching it with vlc or potplayer because the bug occurs after a while after we start previewing the video.....thank you very much!

4 months ago Mr @chandler-stimson , I'm crying with joy, I'm relieved, I finally find how you can playback a video without having to wait for the download to finish, I'm going to open a new issue to share my revolutionary sensational discovery that changes the game in the world and make a suggestion for improvement, thank you)

4 months ago Most likely the external players are opening the file in read-only mode. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do to fix this. It is related to the external player and the OS.

4 months ago Mr @chandler-stimson, Live stream downloader is already perfect :) 💯 🥇 because with the improved detection module which I think should be activated by default (you can use an alternative web browser just to use the extension), live stream downloader is the best extension in the world to detect streams and we have the possibility of increasing the threads, or we can just copy the m3u8 url address and close the web browser and watch the video without problem with potplayer or vlc.. ..tahnk you so much :) just we hope an uncensored version without blacklist in crx and xpi format so that we can install Live stream downloader outside the official stores which often censor and impose limits, I am sure many users are ready to use other web browsers which allow installation outside the blinds just to be able to use the extension, thank you very much :)
the cat catcher extension that I talked about uses different techniques like playing the video in accelerated mode which will be in the cache and then downloading it, this can give other ideas to Live stream downloade to perhaps add new detection and downloading techniques if certain streams are not detected or difficult to download....
Hello, i repost my message sent by email for reference reasons and to make an edit because I receive an error message from Live-stream-downloader that the file directory cache has been changed ...... when i preview the video in progress while be downloaded with vlc player or potplayer !

Also, I noticed a strange thing, in the chromium 122 browsers, like supermium browser, thorium legacy browser, because currently I am using Windows 7 32 bit OS on my acine laptop, my laptop broke down, and so with these web browsers with Live-stream-downloader, I could see the video being downloaded in the download folder and I can preview the video before the download finishes because my internet connection can become very weak and I can wait plenty of time for the download to finish, hence the importance of previewing the video being downloaded, but on the catsxp 32 bit web browser for windows 7 os which is based on chromium or brave 126, I can no longer see the video being downloaded in the download folder and impossible to preview the video, for example in the third media player on this streaming site:
