Address most of the skipped tests #77

This PR fixes the tests by using this documentation and updates the assertions since they were out of date.

There is one test I left skipped because I didn't want to update it incorrectly. I feel someone more familiar with this project can check out the test at a later date.

This change can be verified with:

yarn test
