Hi, as we are still in this transition stage, we cannot deny seniors who are categorised using the old faculties. New students can still be categorised using the old faculty. Until we exit this transition stage whereby old faculty naming, this is a valid suggestion that our application can be updated to.
Furthermore, It is unlikely to affect normal operations and it only causes a minor inconvenience.
Hall administrators will know which faculty changed, he/she knows what to assign to the student. This will not bring inconvenience to any users as hall students are not the ones inputting.

Reason for disagreement: Taking the merger of FOS and FASS to CHS as an example, the categorization of students is as follows:
This issue does not suggest that FOS and FASS should be replaced by CHS. Instead, it highlights how CHS should be added to the faculty list as NUS is already past the 'transition stage' and freshmen from CHS are categorized as belonging to CHS. Thus, not having CHS as a faculty tag does not allow for the categorization of CHS students from Y1 and incoming CHS students.
In addition, CHS is not the only new faculty. FOE and SDE have been merged to form CDE, and CDE
is used by Tracey as a faculty tag. Yet Tracey uses FASS
and FOS
instead of the merged CHS
. This is inconsistent, and does not allow for the categorization for FOE and SDE students from Y2 and above, further strengthening why this issue should have a severity.High
label.

Reason for disagreement: As explained above.
Cannot input some of the newer faculties such as CHS (which I assume quite a number of students come from), and cannot edit pre-existing tags to fit that
