requirement to integrate with geneformer carried over + captured in this issue https://github.com/chanzuckerberg/cellxgene-census/issues/1123. Per ebezzi on slack:

ontology_mapper is only used by Geneformer - I would consider it a very low priority it's not part of the core Census builder
