[ ] Total N nodes
[ ] Total N leaves
[ ] Total tree height (add up branch lengths for getpath between the root and the longest tip).
[ ] Correct N children for each internal node.
[ ] Metadata census after tree load has the right fields
[ ] Nodes have unique names

@sidneymbell can you include more detail about what what these tests are for? Are these unit tests for functionality?
